Experience the absolute best destinations and top luxury hotels and lodges in Australia and New Zealand on this luxurious tour, which includes sophisticated cities, stunning landscapes, soft-adventure activities, fascinating cultures, and acclaimed food and wine.

Begin in Sydney, Australia's most sophisticated city, which is set on one of the world's most beautiful harbors. Tour the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden, explore the historic Rocks district, stroll along Bondi Beach, and drive past exclusive homes and yacht clubs in Double Bay and Vaucluse. Visit food and craft markets, galleries, museums and vibrant neighborhoods. Also enjoy a tour of and performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Additional activities can be arranged upon request, such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, private yacht excursions, scenic harbor flights and private surfing lessons.

Continue to spectacular Uluru (Ayers Rock), an iconic stone monolith surrounded by the vast red earth of the beautiful Red Centre. Stay at a luxury tented lodge with unobstructed views of Uluru, and enjoy comprehensive touring of the region with your expert private guide. Learn about Aboriginal bushtucker cuisine and legends of the Dreamtime. Tour the base of Uluru, and view Aboriginal rock art. Walk through the impressive stone outcroppings of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), which, in conjunction with Uluru, form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the unique flora and fauna of the Outback during walks through the desert. One night, dine under the stars while an astronomer points out the constellations in the clear night sky. Optional activities can be arranged such as camel excursions, helicopter flights over the Outback landscape or visits to remote cave art sites.

Next, fly to Tropical North Queensland, and stay at Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest. During private touring with a naturalist, explore the waterways and jungle of the Daintree—the world's oldest living rainforest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site—keeping an eye out for unusual birds, butterflies, reptiles and mammals. Also enjoy activities and time to relax at the lodge.

Continue to one of our favorite luxury island resorts with easy access to the Great Barrier Reef. At the resort, enjoy a wide range of complimentary and optional activities and excursions such as snorkeling, scuba diving, glass-bottom boat cruises, kayaking, sailing, ecology walks, birding walks, wildlife lectures, picnics on the beach, tennis, swimming and scenic helicopter flights. There will also be ample time to relax on the beach or at the spa.

Then, fly to Auckland, New Zealand, a cosmopolitan city built on volcanic hills overlooking scenic Waitemata Harbour. Stay at the city's best luxury hotel, which is on the waterfront and within walking distance of interesting neighborhoods and top restaurants.

Next, you will be transferred through the bucolic countryside to Rotorua. During touring in the area, experience highlights such as learning about Maori culture and the active geothermal landscape of the region at the Rotorua Museum, and seeing steam vents, colorful hot pools and mineral-encrusted terraces at the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Continue to Taupo and Huka Lodge, an acclaimed luxury lodge in a park-like setting along the Waikato River. During a private cruise on beautiful Lake Taupo, take in views of the volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park and perhaps try fishing for the lake's abundant trout. Also enjoy time at leisure to relax at your lodge or walk along the river to Huka Falls. Upon request, Artisans of Leisure can arrange additional activities in the region, such as excursions to Hobbiton and other filming locations from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, visiting the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, a traditional Maori hangi lunch, kayaking or sailing on local lakes, fly fishing on local streams, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hiking in Tongariro National Park and an exclusive helicopter excursion to White Island, an active marine volcano.

Next, fly to the South Island and Queenstown, a lakeside resort town that's the gateway to some of the most exciting and dramatic attractions in New Zealand. Enjoy private touring of the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown, as well as the region's highly regarded wine country. Take in panoramas of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range en route to Blanket Bay, a legendary luxury lodge with outstanding views of the lake and the majestic Southern Alps. One day, take a spectacular private helicopter flight over the Alps to Milford Sound, one of New Zealand's most iconic sights, and land on a glacier high in the mountains. Another day, take a thrilling Dart River jet boat safari into the magnificent landscapes of Mount Aspiring National Park. Upon request, Artisans of Leisure can arrange additional activities in the region such as horseback riding, bungy (bungee) jumping, visiting filming locations used in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, hiking in the backcountry, visiting a sheep station and fly fishing on local streams.
