This private Qatar tour combines in-depth touring in Doha with a relaxing stay on at a luxury seaside resort. It includes flexible private touring with your own expert guide, accommodation at one of Doha’s top luxury hotels, thrilling excursions and relaxing experiences.

During flexible private touring in Doha, the seaside capital of Qatar, visit museums with stunning architecture and notable collections, such as the Museum of Islamic Art (designed by I.M. Pei) and the National Museum of Qatar (by Jean Nouvel). Walk among the shops and restaurants of bustling Souq Waqif, the historic heart of the city, stopping to browse for handicrafts or sample Middle Eastern treats. Visit the Falcon Souk and falcon hospital to see the majestic national bird of Qatar and learn about their cultural significance and care. Tour the sprawling Al Shaqab equestrian center, where Arabian horses train and perform, to learn about their importance in Qatari culture. Other options around Doha include perusing the galleries in Katara Cultural Village, seeing the impressive Qatar National Library, visiting the Imam Muhammad Ibn Abd Al Wahhab Mosque (Qatar State Mosque), shopping at the boutiques in The Pearl neighborhood and walking on waterfront promenades with views of the city skyline.

One day, enjoy a private four-wheel drive excursion to the beautiful Inland Sea, a saltwater lagoon and nature reserve where golden sand dunes meet the clear blue sea. Perhaps look for oryx or flamingoes that frequent the area, or if desired, ride a camel, try sandboarding or go dune bashing. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a Bedouin camp in the desert.

Next, travel to Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve on the rugged west coast of Qatar. En route, stop to see East-West/West-East, a site-specific art installation by Richard Serra in the Qatari desert. Continue to a luxury tented camp in a remote seaside location for time to relax and decompress. During leisure time, perhaps book yoga sessions, make appointments at the spa or cool off in the swimming pool.

Testimonials

We had a great stopover in Doha. We really enjoyed visiting the Museum of Islamic Art—what a cool building—and other cultural sites. The souk was also really fun. I’ll never forget the amazing kanafeh our guide recommended we try at his favorite bakery.
