Beyond Dubai: Oman
For travelers to Dubai who are interested in exploring traditional Arabian culture in greater depth, we like to arrange a side trip to the neighboring country of Oman. A fascinating contrast to modern Dubai, Oman is a land of rugged mountains, lush palm oases and age-old customs.
We take our travelers into souks perfumed with honey, rose water and frankincense–some of Oman’s most famous and evocative traditional products–and to mountain towns to explore historic forts and shop for silverwork and other traditional crafts. Oman also has its share of luxury, and our clients enjoy the many charms of the Al Bustan Palace, a luxurious beach hotel outside Muscat, the capital of Oman.
