Just Back: The Best of Argentina

We’ve recently returned from beautiful Argentina, a wonderful destination for travelers interested in spectacular landscapes, great food and wine, sophisticated cultural touring, amazing outdoor activities and luxury hotels in stunning settings.

In southern Patagonia, we hiked atop Perito Moreno Glacier, cruised among icebergs on Lake Argentino and lingered on majestic views of the steppe from Eolo, one of our preferred luxury lodges in the region.

In the Lake District of northern Patagonia, we enjoyed scenic excursions and memorable meals with incredible views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and the Andes.

We stayed at Llao Llao Resort, a legendary luxury hotel outside Bariloche.

We spent several days exploring the highlights of Buenos Aires with our excellent insider guide, including visiting favorite neighborhoods, seeing interesting architecture and stopping by a beautiful bookstore inside a former theater.

We also enjoyed a tango performance, dined at top restaurants, visited historic cafes and stayed at acclaimed luxury hotels such as the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires and Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires.

A particularly thrilling stop on our trip was Iguazu Falls, an awe-inspiring waterfall on the border of Argentina and Brazil, where we walked among the thundering cascades and spotted local birds and wildlife.

We also enjoyed staying at the luxurious Awasi Iguazu lodge and the historic Hotel das Cataratas, a Belmond Hotel, which is just across the border in Brazil.

Excellent local cuisine and fine Argentine wines were highlights at every stop on our trip.

Argentina is an unforgettable destination on its own and also easily combines with Chile, Peru and Ecuador & the Galapagos.
