Consider Visiting Nepal When in Nearby India or Bhutan

We highly recommend spending several days touring Nepal, in the Himalayas, when visiting nearby countries such as India or Bhutan. Many of the flights from India to Bhutan make stops in Nepal, making it an ideal time to spend a few days en route.

We love the relaxed feel of Kathmandu and the beautiful valleys that surround the city. Our private excursions visit the most interesting places in the Kathmandu Valley, such as Patan and Bhaktapur, and include special activities to interact with the local people and culture. For those interested, we arrange everything from shopping for beautiful jewelry and stones to learning to paint Buddhist Thangkhas.

Other activities include scenic flights to see Mt. Everest, visiting a monastery to attend a traditional debating session by the Buddhist monks, or meeting renowned craftsmen specializing in pottery, woodcarving and metalwork.

Elsewhere in Nepal, we arrange stays at wilderness lodges that are a great base for hiking, visiting villages, riding elephants, and taking wildlife safaris.

There are great hotels in Nepal, including Dwarika’s, a boutique hotel that features exquisite Nepalese art and architecture.

We have several Nepal tours that we arrange on a request basis, including Introduction to Nepal (5 days exploring the Kathmandu Valley with a private guide and driver), Highlights of Nepal (7 days split between Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan National Park) and Journey Through Nepal (9 days in Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park and Pokhara). We also offer tours that combine Nepal with India, Bhutan and Thailand. Contact us for more information.
