This tour showcases two of the world’s most stylish cities—Barcelona, Spain and Marrakesh, Morocco.
Begin in Barcelona, one of Europe's most dynamic centers of modern design and cutting-edge cuisine. Discover Gaudi’s fantastical structures such as Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo or the hillside Parc Guell. Visit some of the city’s excellent museums, such as the Picasso Museum or Miro Museum. Stroll along Las Ramblas—Barcelona’s most famous boulevard—and explore the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter and La Ribera. If desired, explore the city’s shopping districts, stopping at upscale boutiques along the broad Passeig de Gracia and design shops in the stylish Born and Raval neighborhoods. Also visit the city’s leading food markets, including the Santa Caterina Market and La Boqueria Market. One day, enjoy a cooking class where you will learn to prepare several regional dishes. Alternatively, enjoy a private excursion into the Catalan countryside, dotted with ancient stone farmhouses and charming medieval villages, or enjoy wine tastings in the renowned Penedes wine region.
Continue to Marrakesh, an ancient city of orange groves and weathered pink buildings at the base of the Atlas Mountains. Also, browse the city's stylish shops and galleries, and dine in gourmet restaurants that are putting Marrakesh on the culinary map. One day, take a private excursion to the nearby Atlas Mountains to visit a morning market where Berber nomads and local villagers shop for livestock and daily goods.
