Next, spend several days in Cape Town, South Africa’s most beautiful city, at one of the city’s most exclusive luxury hotels. Enjoy comprehensive private touring with one of Cape Town’s most knowledgeable guides, and explore the city’s history, stunning scenery, and most interesting neighborhoods. Take a scenic cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain and experience local markets, architecture and the city’s incredible food and wine scene. Depending on your interests, visit small museums and noted galleries and shops or opt to visit other highlights such as Two Oceans Aquarium, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, Robben Island or a local township. If desired, take a private scenic coastal drive to the Cape Peninsula and visit the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach and seaside towns.
Continue to South Africa’s Kalahari Desert, for a 3-night stay at an intimate luxury desert safari lodge in South Africa’s largest privately-owned game reserve. Set out with expert rangers on game drives to view desert wildlife, including desert Black Rhino and other rare specie. Opt for a horseback safari, a bush walk, a visit to ancient San Bushman rock art sites, or a hot air balloon ride over the veld.
Fly to Johannesburg for an overnight in one of the city’s most exclusive residential neighborhoods. Learn about the history of South African history and politics with a private visit to the Apartheid Museum. If desired, also take an in-depth private tour of Soweto to visit important sights related to the Anti-Apartheid movement, such as Nelson Mandela’s house and the Hector Pieterson Museum. While there, enjoy lunch at a local shebeen (pub).
Continue to Sabi Sands, a private game reserve located near Kruger National Park renowned for its diverse wildlife—including the Big Five.
