Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi
This luxury tour of Singapore and Malaysia is ideal for families. It includes private touring of atmospheric, culturally diverse neighborhoods; opportunities to meet local people and learn about traditional arts; tours of the best food halls and night markets; visits to family-friendly landmarks such as the Singapore Zoo and Singapore Flyer; time to relax and play at beachfront luxury resorts; and visits to gardens and areas of scenic beauty. And don't forget the warm, tropical climate!
Begin in Singapore with three nights at the legendary Raffles Singapore, a true urban resort. With your private guide and driver, tour the Historic District, and visit atmospheric sites such as the Baba House and British colonial-era buildings. Also explore amazing contemporary structures such as the Marina Bay Sands complex, the SkyPark observation deck and the Singapore Flyer, an enormous Ferris wheel.
Experience Singapore’s unique cultural heritage in Little India, Chinatown, Kampong Glam and other dynamic neighborhoods. Browse bustling local markets, and visit the most interesting Muslim mosques and Chinese and Hindu temples. Perhaps opt to learn about traditional Chinese calligraphy in a local studio, sip different types of tea with a tea master, ride through atmospheric backstreets in a trishaw, have your hands decorated with henna, or have a parakeet tell your fortune.
Continue to Kuala Lumpur, the dynamic capital of Malaysia, for three nights. During flexible private touring, explore neighborhoods such as Little India and Chinatown, and visit our favorite local food and crafts markets. See exotic birds, butterflies and orchids in Lake Gardens, a lush park in the city center. Visit colonial-era sites around Merdeka Square, as well as the impressive Masjid Jamek mosque and the landmark Petronas Twin Towers. Perhaps tour one of KL’s excellent museums, such as the Islamic Arts Museum or National Museum. If desired, enjoy an excursion to an elephant sanctuary to learn to ride, feed and support endangered elephants. Alternatively, visit Batu Caves, a richly decorated Hindu shrine inside natural caverns.
Next, spend four nights at an exclusive resort on the island of Langkawi, a tropical oasis in the Andaman Sea. During ample leisure time, relax, enjoy the beach, or take advantage of the facilities at your luxury resort, such as a family pool, sea kayaks and sailboats. One day, take a boat excursion to Pulau Payar Marine Park to snorkel or dive on coral reefs, or to Kilim Nature Park to see the rich and diverse wildlife of native mangrove forests. One evening, explore the island’s colorful night markets with your private guide.
This tour can be extended to include additional destinations in Malaysia, such as Malacca, Penang and the Cameron Highlands, as well as in nearby countries such as Thailand and Indonesia.
