Journey throughout magical Rajasthan on this in-depth private luxury tour. Begin in Delhi, with touring of the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, various religious sites, the Lodi Gardens, upscale shopping districts, Old Delhi’s bazaars, interesting markets, and excellent museums.
Continue to Jodhpur. Stay at the legendary Umaid Bhawan Palace, a sprawling Art Deco masterpiece. Tour Mehrangarh Fort, take in views over the blue houses of the old quarter and visit a nearby village to learn about local herbal remedies and indigenous crafts.
Transfer to Jaisalmer, an ancient city and hilltop fortress town that was once a major stop for silk and spice caravans. Tour the fort, visit impressive Jain temples, and see the elaborately carved stone facades of havelis. One evening, ride a camel across the Sam Sand Dunes at sunset.
Next, visit Udaipur, India's most romantic city, and the Lake Palace, a white marble palace hotel “floating” in the middle of Lake Pichola. Tour significant cultural sites, walk through picturesque backstreets, and browse bazaars for local crafts such as painted miniatures.
Travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan's great " Pink City,” and stay at Rambagh Palace, India’s first palace hotel. Ride an elephant to Amber Fort, and tour temples, havelis, backstreets, bazaars, and royal palaces and gardens.
Return to Delhi for a final day of sightseeing and shopping before departing India.
