Thai cuisine is complex and flavorful, and offers a perfect balance of
sweet, spicy, sour, and salty ingredients. This tour includes private
sightseeing of the main attractions in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, and small-group
cooking classes at Thailand's leading cooking schools.
As is, this tour is suited for
anyone interested in Thai cuisine, but the program can also be customized
to include private and/or advanced cooking classes, upon request.
- With your expert instructors, you'll shop in local outdoor food markets.
- Learn Thai cooking and presentation techniques.
- Discover some of the country's many unique fruits, vegetables, and
spices.
- Learn to prepare a variety of Thai soups, salads, appetizers, desserts,
vegetarian dishes, and curries and enjoy superb meals along the
way!
- Sample dishes include: Thai Hot and Sour Prawn Soup (Tom Yam Goong),
Green Curry with Chicken (Gaeng Kheo Wan Gai), Fried Fish With Chili
and Basil (Pla Nin Laad Prik Bai Horapa), Chicken With Cashew Nuts (Gai
Phad Med Mamuang), Beef curried in sweet peanut sauce (Paneang Neua),
Spring Rolls (Paw Pia Tord),Roast Duck Curry (Gaeng Phed Ped Yang),
Mango with Sticky Rice, Spicy Thai Fruit Salad, Bananas in Coconut Milk,
Papaya Salad, and Steamed Banana Cake.
