This comprehensive Cambodia tour begins with three days exploring the sites at Angkor -- the ruins of the ancient Khmer empire.

Siem Reap

• Experience impressive Angkor Wat, an enormous "temple city" that incorporates Hindu mythology and cosmology.
  
  
• Visit Angkor Thom -- the Buddhist "Great City" that is believed to have once housed a population of over one million people. Inside, experience the extraordinary Bayon, Terraces of the Elephants, and the Leper King.
  
  
• Discover Ta Prohm, set in dense jungle, and the serenely beautiful Preah Khan, originally a monastery and teaching center.
  
  
• Spend a morning driving through the countryside past local villages to Banteay Srei, an enchanting temple known as the "citadel of the women," named after its intricate carvings and pinkish sandstone.
  
  
• Cruise Lake Tonle Sap, known for its "floating" villages, before flying to the capital city of Phnom Penh.

• Tour the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda; these gilded halls house a Baccarat crystal Buddha and another of gold and diamonds.
  
  
• Visit the National Museum to view ancient Cambodian artifacts, and visit local markets.
  
  
• Experience Phnom Penh's thriving cafe culture, and perhaps have a drink at the Foreign Correspondents Cub -- a Phnom Penh institution.

Day 01	Arrive Siem Reap Arrival transfer to Raffles Grand Hotel D'Angkor for 3 nights. Afternoon touring at Angkor Wat. Dinner at hotel. (D)
Day 02	Siem Reap Touring major ruins, including Banteay Srei, Angkor Thom & Temple of Bayon, Elephant and Leper King Terraces, Preah Khan, and Ta Prohm. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)
Day 03	Siem Reap Morning cruise on Lake Tonle Sap. Afternoon continue touring, or relax at hotel. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)
Day 04	Siem Reap - Phnom Penh Transfer and flight to Phnom Penh to Raffles Le Royal for 2 nights. Afternoon city touring. (B)
Day 05	Phnom Penh Full-day city touring in Phnom Penh. (B)
