Basis)
Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park
A visit to the island of Tasmania is highly recommended for anyone who
wants to experience several days in remote wilderness, surrounded by glacial
lakes, dramatic mountain peaks, abundant wildlife, fields of lavender,
and small historic towns.
Tasmania is also becoming increasingly
renowned for its production of wines, cheeses, honey, mustards, and other
culinary specialties.
- Spend three nights at the luxuriously rustic Cradle Mountain Lodge, a unique wilderness experience set right on the edge of the spectacular World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.
- Unwind at the Lodge: romantic and relaxing with open fires, the Waldheim Alpine Spa, and a tavern and one of Tasmania's premier restaurants both on site.
- Take in the wonderful views of the park's rugged wilderness, mountain peaks, and clear glacial lakes.
- Enjoy optional activities such as wine and cheese tastings, fly fishing, and nocturnal animal viewing.
- Just steps from the Lodge, experience some of the dozen nature trails that traverse landscapes ranging from ancient rainforests to lunar-like snow-covered mountain craters, waterfalls, and clear blue glacial lakes.
